About Us

David and I are keen and enthusiastic dog agility handlers. Over the years we have had various dogs and breeds, A Black Labrador, Corgi, Collie cross, Two Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Four Boxers and Five Kelpies. Adopting the name ‘Highdown Agility’ due to our training venues being within the shadow of a local Land mark ‘Highdown Hill’ this also fitted well with our Logo of a dog making its see saw contact.

We have been successfully running Agility classes at Ferring for over 10 years, offering dog agility training for absolute beginners through to experienced dogs and handlers. Although many of our members compete regularly with great success at Kennel Club, UK Agility and Independent shows, we welcome handlers wishing to enjoy the fun of agility with their dogs, without the intention of competing.

Agility is a sport for everyone, regardless of age, physical fitness and ability; you just need a love of dogs and a good sense of humour. All dogs are welcome regardless of breed, shape or size, as long as they are fit, healthy and have a sound temperament, we are happy to help you train your dog, With members from the age of 8 to ….. Hmm well that would be telling, running almost every breed of dog you can name, we can accommodate most people and their dogs. The only requirement is the ability to control your dog, and the willingness to have fun.

Remember we offer agility training for fun as well as competition, so whether you want to compete or simply have fun with your dog, you will always be welcome at Highdown, where you can train in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Lesley.
